Human Limitations

As humans, we are beings full of limitations. Limitations in thinking, acting, understanding, and even in keeping our hearts steadfast in goodness. Often, we fall into mistakes, forget our true purpose in life, or get lost in the misleading currents of the world.

Yet, behind all these limitations, there is one thing that always becomes our greatest comfort and hope: the vastness of God's mercy.

The Inescapable Limitations of Human Beings

Every human carries weaknesses. We get tired easily, we forget quickly, we often make mistakes, and sometimes we are trapped in our own egos. In our daily lives, we face countless temptations, pressures, and trials that frequently cause us to stumble over and over again.

At times, we may feel disappointed in ourselves for failing to be perfect servants. We might even feel unworthy of seeking forgiveness or returning to Him. But in truth, realizing our weaknesses is the very sign that we are in need of God in every step of life.

The Boundless Mercy of God

Throughout the Qur'an, God reminds us that His mercy encompasses all things. Even when humans are drowning in despair, Allah says:

"Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'"
(Qur'an, Az-Zumar 39:53)

This verse is a source of comfort for anyone who feels overwhelmed by their sins, who has failed repeatedly, or who believes they are beyond forgiveness. No matter how immense our sins may be, God's mercy is far greater. No matter how frequent our mistakes, the door of repentance remains wide open until the end of our lives.

Why Should We Always Rely on God's Mercy?

Because without His mercy, we are nothing. Our deeds alone are never enough to grant us paradise without His compassion. Even the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that he would not enter paradise solely by his deeds, but through the mercy of Allah.

Therefore, even though we may fall countless times, never stop rising again. Even if our hearts have been darkened, never hesitate to seek the light. Keep hoping in God, keep seeking forgiveness, and keep striving to become better.

Conclusion

As weak and limited beings, we cannot rely on our own strength. Only by depending on God can we endure. So, never give up on yourself, never stop asking for His mercy, and trust that God's love goes far beyond the bounds of human understanding.

May we always be granted the strength to repent, to improve ourselves, and to live under the shade of God's infinite mercy.
